Memory Function If power was not disconnected, the humidifier will remember the mist setting from the time it was last turned off.

  2. Aim the remote control at the LED display of the humidifier for better response.

How to Do Cleaning and Maintenance for TaoTronics Humidifier?

  1. Fill the water tank half full, and add in 100ml white vinegar. Run the humidifier for 5-10 minutes to allow the vinegar/water mixture to work through and loosen up the gunk.
  2. Turn off the humidifier, unplug it, and drain the water. Cover the air outlet with the protection cap, then wipe out the inside of the diffuser with the included cleaning brush.
  1. Pay special attention to clean the water level sensor, as it often causes the most issues when it gets dirty. You can use a drop of lemon essential oil on your brush or q-tip if you need to cut through extra grime. (Be extra careful when you drain water to avoid water getting into the underside or motor area to ruin the product).

  2. Rotate the Water Outlet Cap clockwise to remove it and take out the rubber seal to drain water.

Press the Timer Button to set the timer from 1 hour to 24 hours, the timer will flash three times to confirm your setting. Once set, the LED display will show the countdown timer and the environment humidity level alternately. When time is up, the unit will automatically turn off.

How to Switch Nightlight / Sleep Mode on TaoTronics Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier?

  1. Press the Nightlight Button / Sleep Button once to turn on the nightlight.
  2. Press it again to enter sleep mode with the mist level switching to low level. All the indicators on the LED display will turn off except the sleep indicator.
  3. If no operation is done in 3 seconds under Sleep Mode, the sleep indicator will turn off Press any button to activate Sleep Mode (with the sleep indicator on). All the other buttons remain functional.
  4. Press one more time to exit sleep mode.
  5. When there is no enough water inside the water reservoir under Sleep Mode, the humidifier and the LED display will turn off automatically.

How to Set Humidity Level on TaoTronics Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier?

  1. Press the Humidity Button to set the humidity level from 30% to 95% with an increase / decrease of 5% in each tap.
  2. The humidity level set will flash three times to confirm your setting.
  3. The unit will stop misting once the environment humidity reaches the preset humidity level and resume misting once the environment humidity level is below the preset level.
  4. To exit the humidity setting, press the Humidity Button one more time when humidity is set to 95% or restart the unit.

Note: The most comfortable environmental humidity is between 40%-60%. Please adjust the mist as needed.

How to Clean and Maintain TaoTronics Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier?

Caution:

  1. DO NOT submerge the base in water.
  2. Make sure water does not enter the base through the air outlet, air inlet, or the control buttons and LED display.
  3. DO NOT wash any part of this humidifier in dish washer which will damage the humidifier and void the warranty.

Daily Maintenance:

Turn off the humidifier, unplug it from the power source. Drain water from the tank, reservoir and base.

Weekly Maintenance

  1. To properly clean your humidifier, we recommend you to remove scale and disinfect the humidifier separately.
  2. DO NOT mix vinegar and bleach solutions together. Do not use more than 1 tsp. of bleach per gallon of water to avoid damaging your humidifier.
  3. Please make sure the rubber ring & rubber cap & spring on the tank cap is installed properly after cleaning to avoid water leakage.

How to Remove Scale from TaoTronics Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier?

  1. Turn off and unplug the humidifier. Remove the nozzle.
  1. Remove the water tank from the base. Remove the tank cap. Make sure that the white sealing ring does not come off. Drain water from the water tank and base. Remove any     accessories and set aside.
  1. Fill the water tank half full. Add in 1 teaspoon of undiluted distilled white vinegar. Attach the tank cap and shake for 15 seconds.
  2. Place the tank onto the base. The vinegar solution will enter the water reservoir to loosen mineral buildup (scale) on the atomizer, water floater and the bottom of the water tank. Set      still for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Uncap the tank cap and drain the solution. Wipe the atomizer and floater with a soft cloth to remove loosened mineral deposits.
  4. Rinse both the water reservoir and water tank until the smell of vinegar (for scale removal) or bleach solution (for disinfecting, see below) is gone.

End-Of-Season Care and Storage

How to Adjust Warm Mist?

Tap the Warm Mist Button to adjust the heat level between high / medium / low levels. When the heat level is at high level, tap the Warm Mist Button one more time to turn off the heating. The corresponding warm mist level indicator on the LED Display will light up.

How to Set High Temperature Alarm?

High temperature alarm will be activated if temperature of the heat tube is too high, 8 beep sounds will be heard every other second. The unit will stop working after 1 minute. Caution: Unplug the power source and wait for 3 minutes to allow the unit to cool down before you turn it on again.

Connect the power adapter to humidifier input port and plug the adapter into a wall socket. Now the humidifier is ready for use.

  1. Rotate the control knob clockwise to the ON position. The LED indicator will light up, indicating the humidifier has been turned on to a minimum mist level.
  2. Keep rotating the control knob clockwise to increase the mist level.

How to Set Nightlight Control on TaoTronics Humidifier for Babies?

  1. Press the button to turn on/off the nightlight, the brightness is at the default medium range.
  2. Press and hold the button for 1.5 seconds to adjust the light brightness, release at the desired level. Press and hold it again to adjust the brightness to the opposite direction.
